Microsoft Teams
primedocs Web can be opened in Microsoft Teams. You create documents without leaving Teams, and primedocs files the finished file where you started: in OneDrive or in the channel.
Applies to: primedocs Web in Microsoft Teams.
Prerequisites: your organisation has set up the primedocs app for Teams. You need a Microsoft 365 account. Only templates released for creation in the browser are available.
Two routes
- As a personal app: open primedocs via the Teams sidebar or the app launcher. Created documents end up in your OneDrive.
- As a channel tab: a team member adds primedocs as a tab to a channel. Documents from the tab end up in the channel's SharePoint folder and are immediately visible to all channel members.
Creating a document in Teams
- Open the primedocs app or the channel tab.
- Choose a template, see Finding templates.
- Fill in the fields and choose the output offered, see Creating a document.
- The document is in OneDrive (personal app) or in the channel folder (channel tab) and can be opened directly in Teams.
If something does not work
| You see | What helps |
|---|---|
| A template from primedocs Desktop is missing in Teams | Have web capability and release of the template as well as profile and language checked. |
| The sign-in window appears repeatedly | Sign in with the intended Microsoft 365 account. If the sign-in keeps appearing, contact support. |
How the Teams app is set up is described for administrators under Teams.
